Ground Source Project Update

Ground Source Project Update

Back in January, we revealed that work had started on an exciting new project to create a Ground Source Heating System under where the tennis court used to sit.

The aim of this project is to heat and provide hot water for the Visitor Centre using greener energy. Work has continued since then and we are pleased to say there has been very good progress.

Currently, the 100m deep boreholes and pipework are all completed, having been joined and pressure tested.

The next phase of works is to decommission and remove our 3 propane gas powered boilers from the plant room. This will make way for the new heat pumps and supporting infrastructure for the Ground Source Heating System.

All of this work is being done in preparation for the Walled Garden project which will be built on the site of the tennis courts.

Be sure to check back in the coming months for more updates on this and other projects at Trebah.
