Head Chef
Salary: £28,000-£32,000

Join our vibrant team at the start of a new era for catering at Trebah. Since lockdown we have been giving our offer lots of thought and as we move into the 2022 season, we are looking for a top-notch chef to help shape that future with us.
Working alongside our catering manager you will be integral to menu design. This will have a strong focus on seasonal local produce and be reactive in its nature. If you love designing innovative menus that showcase your talents this is the job for you!
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen reporting directly to the catering manager and commercial director. We have high food hygiene standards that we would expect you to maintain and cascade their importance to the wider team.
This role involves working at least one weekend day per week or alternate weekends (to be arranged with the catering manager). You will be expected to be available to work evening events as well as on performance days (Thursdays and Fridays) in the main season and at Christmas.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, usually within our core opening days Saturday – Wednesday 9am – 5pm.
Trebah Garden is a world-renowned garden with a reputation for excellence. Our catering has always superseded the expectations of our visitors and we are now ready to take that to the next level. We hope to build a for reputation for exceptional casual dining. We also have plans to expand all of our outlets and to explore new ways that food can be interconnected with the garden, its events and ethos.
