It is now six weeks since my appointment as CEO and ten months have passed since I first joined Trebah Garden as Operations Manager following a long career with the National Trust.
As our Members you are our strongest supporters, advocates and our most frequent visitors. The ongoing support you provide to Trebah as a small independent charity is fundamental to what we do and I felt it important to write to you openly.
To step into this role, and lead the dedicated team of staff and volunteers that care for Trebah, is a privilege. To maintain Trebah’s strong reputation and standing horticulturally, as a visitor attraction, events venue and part of the local community is a weighty responsibility, but also an exciting opportunity to plan a bright future for one of Cornwall’s great gardens.
Over time I look forward to meeting more of you, hearing your thoughts, feedback and understanding what makes Trebah special for you. All with a view to helping us develop Trebah in a positive way.
