Trebah is a valley garden and therefore has steep sections and steps to some paths, making wheelchair use difficult. Approximately 80% of the garden is accessible by a suitable motorised wheelchair. If you are bringing your own motorised chair please consider if it is suitable for steep hill use and able to operate on uneven surfaces. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to give us a call on 01326 252200. We do have two motorised "Tramper" chairs available through the Countryside Mobility scheme.
Countryside Mobility is a scheme which enables easy access to the South West's beauty spots and is available free of charge at Trebah . Tramper all-terrain mobility scooters are available on loan for people with limited mobility after a short training session you are able to explore agreed Tramper routes. Once trained you may visit other participating sites across the South West, some small hire charges may apply at other venues. For more information about the scheme please visit www.countrysidemobility.org and to book the Tramper please call us on 01326 252200.
The Trampers are often in great demand and at peak times, we may limit their use to three hours per visit. Bookable times are 10am - 1pm or 1.30pm - 4pm. Please do book ahead to avoid disappointment.
