a workshop by Kyra Norman
Cornwall-based dancer and choreographer, Kyra Norman, invites you to join her for a full day of moving and dancing outdoors. Drawing inspiration from the garden in Summer, participants will take time to explore Trebah's 26-acres as a starting point for solo, partner and group dances.
What to expect: a warm welcome and a mixed bag of people with bodies that like to move. Serious play, lively full-bodied moving, and also time to simply be, and take it all in. There'll be a mix of great music and moments to notice the 'sound world' that is already here.
Open to anyone with an active curiosity for exploring this site and responding through movement (no formal dance experience required): aged 16+.
The workshop will run from 11:00 - 16:00 - meet at the Amphitheatre.
Dress for the weather - layers, waterproofs, sun lotion, and trainers or similar.
All ticket-holders are welcome to enjoy the garden for the whole day (10:30 - 17:00), including access to the beach - bring swim stuff if you'd like to.
Please note Trebah Kitchen and the shops will be closed: you will need to bring a picnic lunch.
