Festive Table Centres Workshop
Learn how to create a natural centrepiece for your Christmas feast with local flower grower and florist Kat from Precious & Wild
Join us for a cosy morning learning how to create a natural centrepiece for your Christmas feast with local flower grower and florist Kat from Precious & Wild.
Using fragrant evergreen foliage, berries, seed heads and dried flowers, you’ll create a beautiful festive table centre to take home and enjoy throughout the Christmas season.
Kat will begin with a clear demonstration before guiding you through the process step by step, with one-to-one help whenever you need it. You’ll learn how to create a mossed base to keep your foliage fresh, before building and shaping your finished arrangement.
There will be a generous selection of winter evergreens to choose from, giving you plenty of texture, fragrance and shape to work with. Then comes the fun part – choosing how to make your piece sparkle with dried flowers, seed heads and cones.
All of the greenery and flowers have been grown and harvested just down the road in the Precious & Wild Walled Garden at Eathorne. The foliage, flowers and seed heads have been grown sustainably and to organic principles, allowing you to bring a little piece of the Cornish landscape to your Christmas table. Your finished centrepiece will be entirely floral-foam-free and guaranteed to be the star of your table
This 2.5 hour workshop is a chance to take a little time for yourself before Christmas gets into full swing and the pressures of hosting starts to build. You can take a minute, slow down, notice the details and enjoy playing with all the beautiful things the winter garden has to offer.
All materials are provided, along with coffee and cake and the base can be reused again next year.
Your centrepiece can be finished with a twinkling candle at its heart, used to surround a bowl of festive nibbles, or paired with a vase of fresh flowers.
Scissors and secateurs are provided but you may wish to bring your own. You may also wish to bring a protective apron and gardening gloves
