Hello everyone,

Happy New Year. Thanks to everyone who visited and supported our Christmas offer throughout December and over the New Year; it’s great to see so many of you here during the winter, especially on those rare sunny days.

I’ll start 2026 by introducing a new member of the team, Tony Finnigan. Tony joins us this month as our Operations Manager. This role is an important senior addition to our team and was the role that I was recruited to back in 2022. As we have grown in terms of visitor numbers and therefore in the size of our operation, it felt like the right time to re-introduce this post. Tony joins us from the National Trust next door at Glendurgan, where he was Site Manager for ten years and as a result is well rooted in the local community and the area. I suspect many of you will know Tony.

A small change, but one you likely notice if you visit over the coming weeks, is that we are changing the coverings on the upholstery in the café. After eight years or so, the existing fabric is tired and ready for renewal. As a result, some areas of the café may be out of use at different times. Thanks for bearing with us.

Finally, we close Trebah entirely for our annual maintenance days on 19, 20 and 21 January. This allows us to carry out essential maintenance work both indoors and out, and also to gather the full team of staff for our annual meeting.

In the meantime, I hope you can make use of the reciprocal entry arrangements we have in place with other Cornish attractions during January and of course you can bring a friend for free at Trebah until 13 February.

Thanks as ever for your support.

Best wishes, Jon
