Indocalamus are small evergreen flowering bamboo and the largest of all hardy bamboo
Indocalamus tessellatus
Introduced from China into Britain in 1845. This species has the largest foliage of any bamboo, the glossy deep green leaves can be up to 60cm long and 9cm wide.
