Chimonobambusa tumidissinoda
Introduced to England in 1987 and rare in cultivation. Extremely elegant with graceful arching culms. Very distinctive with particularly swollen nodes on the culms, used for centuries to make walking sticks in Szechwan. It is listed as an endangered plant due to its habitat being removed in China.
