After leaving Lawn Path and walking up towards the Koi Pool, Geranium rozanne provides a wave of bluey-purple colour from its plantings on the wall.

Other notable varieties include Geranium maderense, from Madeira, is a spectacular plant, with red leaf stalks and a large umbrella of flowers and Geranium canariensis, from the Canary Islands, and Geranium palmatum, from Madeira, which are both slightly hardier.
