Aloes are drought-resistant plants, mainly from Africa. Most have succulent leaves and tubular or cylindrical flowers.

The beautiful Spiral Aloe Aloe polyphylla (pictured above) can be found growing on the border above Lawn Path. This stunning geometric flowering plant is endemic to the Kingdom of Lesotho.

Another stunning addition is the Stripe-stemmed Aloe Aloe striatula, found higher up in the Lawn Path border. Also from Lesotho, its tall spikes of yellow flowers can be enjoyed each summer and are not dissimilar in appearance to Knifophia.
