Spring into a Season of Writing
Spring is the perfect time to start or return to writing. The pops of colour, fresh growth, and returning animal friends offer up inspiration everywhere and liven up our minds and writerly spirit.
We will be using the gardens as our inspiration, walking and writing as we journey through them, observing what the landscape conjures in ourselves and on the page. We are in the season of vibrancy, awakening and upward and outward sprouting energy. Through writing exercises we will explore what this brings to our lives and how we want to harness it moving forward. We will examine through creative writing the balance between thriving and overstretching. We will check in with ourselves and ground ourselves in the gardens, noticing and documenting exactly where we are, what we are growing towards and how we are adapting.
These workshops are aimed to deepen our connection to the natural world as well as ourselves through poetry and creative writing exercises. Polly Roberts is a writer and counsellor and facilitates nature writing for wellbeing workshops. You will leave with some writing ideas to carry forwards with you throughout the rest of the season.
Please wear suitable clothing. The included walk is weather dependent but the workshop will run whatever the weather.
