Nettle Tea & Plant Wisdom

A sensory session including an introduction to the history and heritage of nettles and how they can be used with a demonstration and tasting

This experience, led by Nettle Revolution, includes:

  • Introduction to the history and heritage of nettles in Britain
  • Understanding nettles as a sustainable fibre and nourishing plant
  • Demonstration of fresh/dried nettle preparation for infusion
  • Guided nettle tea tasting (mineral-rich herbal infusion)
  • Discussion on traditional and modern uses of nettles for wellbeing
  • Q&A and mindful sensory reflection

The session supports themes of sustainability, resilience, and reconnecting with local plant knowledge. It is calm, informative, and accessible, particularly beneficial for wellbeing-focused visitors and those interested in nature-led living.

Nettle Revolution has an ongoing mission to elevate nettles from overlooked weed to respected British fibre, food, and wellbeing ally. Through exhibitions, talks, workshops, and handcrafted textiles, Jane aims to raise awareness of nature-based resilience in today’s fast-paced and stressful world.

Jane has delivered talks and workshops across Cornwall, including community groups, wellbeing projects, and creative venues, where participants engage with nettle tea, fibre samples, and sustainable craft practices.
