Trebah is full of colour at present. The wettest spring on record and above average temperatures in recent months might be challenging for us, but at least the plants here are really enjoying it.
If you’ve not visited recently I highly recommend doing so soon to make the most of the spring display.
The Boathouse now open daily
After opening on weekends throughout March, we’re pleased to say that our famous Boathouse Beach Cafe is now open every day from 10.30am – 4pm until October, weather permitting.
Be sure to pop by for delicious Roskilly’s ice cream, as well as a selection of hot & cold drinks, snacks and, new for 2024, pasties!
Trebah Helps Lappa Valley’s Garden Grow
On Thursday 28 March, Lappa Valley opened their first new station for 30 years. In a collaboration with Trebah, the station is called Trebah Halt and has been planted out by Head Gardener Darren and his team – a little slice of the sub-tropical on the north coast!
Have you found Whose Nose Goes?
Our new Easter trail is off to a flying start and it’s been great to see families exploring the garden (albeit between the showers) during the school holidays.
The trail continues until Sunday 14 April, so there’s still plenty of time to enjoy it (plus there’s a tasty locally-made prize from Josh’s Chocolate at the end!)
£3 per participant, available from the Entrance Desk
Darren’s Diary
Head Gardener Darren’s back with another round-up of garden highlights – expect gunnera growth, magnificent magnolias and plenty of spring colour!
Get creative in April!
Our art workshops have been selling out fast, and we’re delighted to have two new additions coming up in April.
Join artists from our upcoming REGENERATION exhibition who will share their techniques and skill – perfect for beginners and experienced painters who wish to develop their skills further.
Thank you for your patience while we completed our play area regeneration project. Despite being hampered by the rain, we’re pleased to have the play areas fully open again after these essential changes.
