Botanical Inks Workshop

Enjoy a relaxing session of botanical drawing with award-winning and RHS Gold medalist illustrator Sarah Humphrey

Botanical Inks Workshop

Led by award-winning and RHS Gold Medalist botanical illustrator Sarah Humphrey, this immersive workshop introduces the art of botanical drawing using pens with ink.

The session begins with a gentle introduction to observational drawing, using bamboo dip pens, revered for their unique blend of expressive capability and versitality. You will be focusing on capturing the character and form of seasonal flowers. The second part of the workshop invites participants to explore the more formal side of botanical drawing using fine liner pens with tips and techniques to guide everyone through a timeless art practice. Throughout the workshop, Sarah will provide clear group demonstrations alongside individual, one-to-one expert tuition.

Participants will learn how to create beautiful studies and develop a botanical drawing to take home, whilst sipping on herbal tea and light refreshments. Materials will be provided for this workshop and is suitable for all levels of experience, including complete beginners.
