Spring Sauna Ceremony
A special day of longer sauna sessions, botanical steam infusions, and awakening of spring set within the garden’s beautiful surroundings
Sauna Del Soul at Trebah Garden is a guided, wood-fired sauna experience led by Matt, Sauna Master and founder of Sauna Del Soul.
Each 90-minute ceremony is carefully held and unhurried, combining traditional sauna heat with botanical steam infusions from handcrafted sauna whisks, salt scrubs, breath, and moments of stillness.
Rooted in sauna tradition and inspired by the history, ritual, and mythical properties of plants, the experience is designed to be grounding, restorative, and deeply immersive.
Matt will guide each session, introducing heat gradually and working with seasonal botanicals to shape the steam and atmosphere.
You will be led through a series of hot and cold immersions, with the heat of the sauna balanced by the refreshing cold of the Helford River — the true yin and yang of the sauna practice.
This is an adults-focused wellness experience, created to slow the pace, encourage presence, and offer a meaningful moment of warmth, connection, and reset.
If you are not a member of Trebah you will need to pay an entry fee of £17.50 on top of your ticket price.
Please bring:
- Two towels (one to sit on, one to dry off)
- Swimwear
- Flip flops or easy footwear
- Warm layers for before and after your session
- Water bottle
- Body wash
- Changing facilities are limited, so please arrive ready where possible.
This is a wood-fired sauna experience. All sessions are managed, and a safety briefing is given before entry.

Location: Please come to the Visitor Centre. You will be directed where to go from there. The event is being held on Trebah Beach. The sauna has three high steps to enter.
Refreshment availability: Trebah Kitchen will be open. The Boathouse on the beach will be open for hot and cold refreshments.
Garden entry: Non-members will need to purchase Garden entry for this event.
When to arrive: The walk to the beach from the entrance takes about 20 minutes. Please arrive in time for the session to start at the advertised time.
Facilities: There will be access to a portaloo at the beach for this event.
