Cornish Art History and Appreciation Courses

Cornish Art History and Appreciation Courses

Study the history of Newlyn School Art from 1880 onwards.

Catherine has taught courses on the history of Newlyn and Lamorna artists fr Adult Education in Cornwall and is a NADFAS lecturer.  She belives in sharing the in depth knowledge she has acquired over 20 plus years on Cornish Art as a curator and writer with like minded art enthusiasts.  Her courses focus on art history and the appreciation of art from a practical and visual point of view.  Her lectures aim to inform and entertain.

No previous knowledge or experience is required.  Each course lasts 8 weeks.  reading lists and suggested sources of further information are supplied.  Each session of Catherine's courses last 2 hours with a break at half time.  They feature powerpoint slides of paintings and photographs delivered by Catherine but discussion and imput from attendants is encouraged.

Week 8 will be held in a local art museum.
