Old Time Sailors

A flashmob musical show designed to take the audience back in time through an unforgettable trip to the 19th century.

Every member of the audience receives a copy of the Sunday Sailor, a newspaper shaped program which includes the lyrics to all the Old Time Sailors songs (plus personalized postal stamps!) in order to sing along and become a Sailor for one epic night!

The crew is composed of seventeen musicians playing fully unplugged to ensure the most authentic experience.

The event will be a three hour show including intermissions to relax with friends and family.

Over thirty songs and tunes where the audience will sing and dance surrounded by drunken Sailors, witnessing an astounding show unmatched in this music genre.

Everything will take place within our magnificent stage set, designed to give the audience the sensation of being inside a 19th century vessel.

What to expect

Your ticket includes access to the garden from 4pm.

This event will take place in our 300 seat open-air amphitheatre.

We are used to the Cornish weather! Outdoor events will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions, so please bring a coat.

Our only toilets are within the Visitor Centre at the top of the garden.

Picnics are welcome at this event and light refreshments are also available. Hot food and meals are not available.

We have plenty of free parking available for all events.

Trebah loves dogs but unfortunately they are unable to attend live performance events.

Please allow 20 minutes before the performance starts to walk to the amphitheatre, as it is situated in the heart of Trebah Garden.

With tiered seating and plenty of leg room everyone gets ‘the best seat in the house’, so there’s no need to bring your own chairs. Please be aware however that seating is unreserved.

A number of cushioned seats with back supports are available at the amphitheatre on a first-come-first-served basis.

For large parties and groups, please arrive in plenty of time for us to find you seats together.

Due to the topography of the garden there is limited access to the amphitheatre, which may not be suitable for all types of mobility vehicles. We will do everything we can to make sure you can see the show but please call us on 01326 252205 before booking to discuss.
