Visions of Nature Art Exhibition

The fine art prints and paintings of Louise Boulton and Richard Gibson

Entry to the exhibition is included in garden entry, or free for Trebah members.

The world of nature, so present at Trebah, can be seen in all its bold vigour and delicacy in the exhibition "Visions of Nature", where screenprints, etchings and oil paintings, colour and form celebrate the vitality and beauty of nature.

To be able to show my paintings at Trebah Gardens, a place so alive with the beauty of nature, is a great thrill. As Spring brings forth so much fresh life I have endeavoured to reflect this in many of the works, as well as something of the joys of Summer, Autumn and Winter. With so much to marvel at outdoors I hope to have captured some of this excitement in paint and to share this delight with others.

I'm very excited to have an exhibition at Trebah, it provides a perfect fit for my artwork. Plants & gardens are the focal inspiration for my work. On each visit I discover new aspects of the garden, and am drawn to the plants’ form and structure lending themselves perfectly for creative exploration. Drawings are made from direct observation, these studies are then developed in the printmaking studio, drawing them onto the copper plate as etchings or developing them into multi layered screenprints. Each one celebrating the beauty of the natural world combined with decorative qualities.
