What is Reflections?
After a pause due to Covid-19 restrictions, Cornwall Hospice Care's Reflections Remembrance event makes a welcome return in 2022.
Reflections is a moving and peaceful way in which to remember loved ones. Your personal message of remembrance, together with a bright pink gerbera flower will be placed on our wicker raft, in the shape of an open lotus flower. With some gentle background music and the sounds of the sea, we stand together as the raft is rowed slowly away. Everyone is invited to attend, there does not need to be a personal connection with our hospices.
How does it work?
The event will be held on Sunday 26 June from 3.30pm when there will be free entrance into the garden. Booking in advance is essential through the Cornwall hospice Care form HERE.
If you would like a message to be included on the raft but are unable to attend, please complete the online form above and we will ensure that it is included.
The Reflections event is generously sponsored by W J Beswetherick & Son. We’re also delighted to be working with Koru Kayaking once again and music at the event will be provided by classical guitarist, Paul Dhiman.
Event Timings
The event itself is held on the beach at the bottom of the garden, so please allow approximately 20 minutes to walk down to the beach. You can arrive in the car park for the gardens from 3.30pm for our event – if you’d like to spend more time looking around the garden before our event, please pre-book this HERE.
The raft will float at approximately 4.30pm, weather and sea conditions permitting. Friends and family are also welcome to join us on the day; there will be additional tags available if anyone would like to add a message on the day. There will also be an opportunity to make a donation on the day, if you wish to.
