Work Begins On A New Project

The first turf of the exciting new Amphitheatre at Trebah Garden was cut early on Wednesday morning (15th Nov 2012).

The project will create an outdoor performance space inspired by traditional Cornish Prayer Pits. It will be constructed using local granite in a semi circular arrangement high in the Chilean Coomb. Work will continue throughout the winter and into the early spring, with further work to follow in winter 2013/14. The finished result will provide seating for approximately 50 people and a staged area. We hope to be ready for performances in spring/summer 2014.

Due to digger activity Badgers Walk and the new Chilean Coomb path will be closed periodically over the next few weeks as we get started on our exciting new Amphitheatre project.
