Our Cornish gem named among the best garden for borders
Trebah Garden has made the cut in Chris Beardshaw's list of his favourite borders in gardens across the country, coming in at number 8.
The only garden in Cornwall mentioned, Chris highlighted the fantastic rhododendron and camellia plantings of spring, along with our iconic sea of hydrangeas in summer months.
The way Trebah integrates its shrubbery into the broader landscape is a testament to its years design under many garden owners. The hydrangeas are carefully positioned to frame views and enhance the overall aesthetic, and this demonstrates how shrub planting can be used to create a sense of depth and visual interest in a natural setting.
The 10 gardens that made the list are:
- Arley Hall
- Waterperry
- West Dean
- Wollerton Old Hall
- The Picton Garden
- Great Dixter
- Gravetye Manor
- Trebah Garden
- Crathes Castle
- Coton Manor
