A weekend of lectures and guided walks with a social evening and amphitheatre performance hosted at Trebah Garden

Programme

Friday 20 May 

4-6pm, Welcome reception and registration at Trebah Garden 

Saturday 21 May 

9.30am, Arrival at Trebah Garden House

9.45am, 1.5 - 2 hours Guided Tour of the Garden

12-1pm, Lunch – Delegates will be given a £10 voucher to use in the cafe

2-4 pm,Dave King talk on “Making Musical Instruments from Bamboo” and talk by Maria Vorontsova on "Evolutionary History of Bamboos"

7 - 9pm, Kevewi Kernow – “Cornish Party” an exciting outdoor evening of local performance;  from the Cadgwith Singers to folk duo Salt and Sky, Trebah welcomes some of Cornwall’s most talented groups and individuals to our Amphitheatre.

Additional guests of delegates £9.99 per adult and £4.99 per child

Sunday 22 May 

Free morning 

2-4pm, Simon Olpin & Mike Bell talk on “Little Known Bamboos” and a talk by Ray Townsend on "Temperate Bamboos of Kew"

5.30pm, Evening BBQ at Trebah, cash bar. Additional guests of delegates £10.50 per adult and £5.50 per child

Monday 23 May 

Garden visits (not included in the main fee)

The Lost Gardens of Heligan – 80 Acre garden with mature Bamboos and other Exotic Plants

Carwinion Garden – 10 Acre Famous Bamboo Garden with over 170 mature species set in a tranquil valley
