"I think its a magical garden, I love it" Alice, aged 9
Today, Tuesday 25 October, was our first Halloween 1/2 term workshop. We all had great fun, particularly Kelsey, who normally works in our Trebah Plant Centre, but for today was the 'Trebah Witch'. Looking particularly spooky, this friendly witch was on hand to help carve out the pumpkin lanterns for those children who came to our 'drop-in' workshop. Over 100 children came to the workshop, which ran from 11am to 2pm, but all at a steady pace, so no last minute panics or large queues. All the children went away very happy with their pumpkin lanterns and as an extra bonus, they also went away with either a witches or wizards decorated hat or a bat kite (the parents were happy too).
We're looking forward to seeing more children on Thursday 27 October for our last Halloween 1/2 term workshop, again from 11am to 2pm, families can drop in at anytime between these hours. At just £3 per child, its surprisingly good value, especially as Trebah is still FREE for children under the age of 15 until the end of October.
